About Us
Deaf Health was created with the goal of providing deaf and hard of hearing access to sources of health and medical information. With the Corona outbreak, we decided it was enough and tried to fill in the gaps as much as we could. At first, we started as a single company and we are developing with the unparalleled welcome of deaf people all over Iran and Iranian deaf people living abroad. At present, the health perspective of the deaf is to accompany the deaf to have a better physical, sexual and mental health status. This companionship can be through the provision of health content, translation of health broadcasts, holding special courses for the deaf in the field of health, effective communication between the doctor and the deaf patient, and psychologists and deaf clients. The founder of Deaf Health, Mahsa Tahzibieh, is the daughter of a deaf family and has witnessed the challenges of the deaf in the field of health since she was a child. He has a degree in radiology from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and a master's degree in epidemiology from Tehran University of Medical Sciences. His dissertation was related to assessing the level of health literacy of the deaf and related factors and explaining the obstacles, facilities and strategies to improve the level of health literacy. He is also a health researcher in the deaf community.
